Christmas Light Takedown, Removal and Storage in Volusia County

Takedown and off-season storage are included with every Volusia Christmas Lights package. We remove the display in January on a date scheduled at install, inspect every strand, and store it until you book again. Takedown-only service is also available for lights another company installed.
What happens in January
Your takedown date is scheduled the day the lights go up, so both ends of the season are on the calendar before the display is ever lit. When the date arrives, a crew removes every bulb, run of wire, clip, timer, wreath, and piece of garland from the property. Clips come off the roof and gutters rather than being left for next year. Palm and tree wraps come off entirely. Every strand is inspected as it comes down. Failed bulbs get replaced, damaged runs get pulled from inventory, and the display gets labeled and boxed as a set for your address. You do not need to be home.
Why this is included rather than extra
Because it is the part homeowners actually dread. Putting lights up is a Saturday. Taking them down in January, in the cold rain, when the holiday feeling is gone, is the job nobody wants. It is also the part that makes the lease model work. The lights come back to us, which is why you are not storing them, why nothing needs replacing next fall, and why booking a second season is one phone call instead of a whole project. Every residential and commercial package includes it. There is a practical benefit too. Lights left up past January degrade in the Florida sun, and HOA guidelines in many Volusia County communities set a removal deadline. A scheduled takedown keeps you clear of both.
Takedown only, for lights we did not install
This one is for a specific situation: your lights are up, the company that installed them is not returning calls, or you put them up yourself in November and now it is January and the ladder looks a lot less appealing than it did. We do takedown-only work across Volusia County, priced separately from a seasonal package. A crew removes the display, and you have two options for what happens next. We can box the lights neatly and leave them with you, or we can haul off strands that are past saving. If you go this route, it is worth asking about a seasonal package for next year while the crew is there. Most people who call for a takedown are calling because the do-it-yourself version stopped being fun.
How storage works
Displays are stored off-season by property, labeled and boxed as a set, so the materials built for your roofline are the materials that come back. That matters more than it sounds. Runs of wire cut to your specific roofline are reusable only on your house, and having them ready is what makes a returning season faster to schedule and often less expensive than the first one. Storage costs you nothing extra and takes up none of your garage. When you book again, the display comes off the shelf.

Common questions
Takedown runs through January, on a date scheduled when the display goes up. Communities with HOA removal deadlines get scheduled ahead of the deadline. If you need a specific week, say so at install and it goes on the calendar then.
Yes. Takedown-only service is available across Volusia County and is quoted separately from a seasonal package. It is a common call in January when an installer stops answering or a do-it-yourself display needs to come down.
No, as long as the crew can reach the areas that need work. If anything is behind a locked gate or a fenced yard with a dog, let us know ahead of the scheduled date.
With us, off-site, boxed and labeled by property. There is no storage fee and nothing goes into your garage. When you book the next season, the display built for your home is what comes back out.
