One price, the whole season
A residential package is a single seasonal price. It covers the design, the lights, the install, every repair between install day and takedown, removal in January, and storage until you book again. You are not buying materials. The bulbs, wire, clips, and timers stay ours, which is why nothing goes into your garage in January and why nothing needs replacing when you decide to do it again next year. Booking a second season takes one phone call because the display for your house already exists.
What we light
Rooflines and ridgelines are the base of most displays, run along gutters, eaves, and peaks with bulbs spaced evenly and wire cut to the exact length of each run. From there, most Volusia County homes add some combination of palms and oaks, columns and entryways, window frames, garland on railings and doorways, and pathway or landscape accents. Palms are the add-on that changes a display most in this market, and they are covered in detail on the palm and tree lighting page. Design choices
Warm white C9 bulbs are the default and the most requested look in Volusia County. They read gold rather than blue at night and pair well with stucco, brick, and the tan and cream exteriors common here. Pure white is cooler and crisper, and it holds up better against very light exteriors. Multicolor reads traditional and photographs well on larger displays. Red and warm white together is a common compromise for homeowners who want color without a full rainbow. Bulb spacing is a design decision too. Twelve-inch spacing gives a dense, continuous line. Fifteen-inch spacing reads a little more relaxed and covers more roofline for the same bulb count. We recommend based on the elevation and how far the house sits from the street.
What Florida changes about the install
Salt air is the quiet variable on the beachside. Homes in Ormond-by-the-Sea, Daytona Beach Shores, and the New Smyrna Beach oceanfront corrode hardware faster than homes six miles inland, which is why commercial-grade materials matter more here than they do in most markets. Tile roofs need different clips and a different approach than shingle. Tile cannot be walked the way a low-pitch shingle roof can, so more of the work happens from ladders, and that affects both the schedule and the quote. Tell us the roof type when you request a quote. Palms behave differently than northern trees. Trunk spirals, frond lighting, and the species of palm all change how long a wrap takes. Season timing matters too. Hurricane season runs through November, and high wind moves install dates. We reschedule to the next available window rather than putting a crew on a roof in bad weather.

Most Volusia County homes run $900 to $2,500 for the full season with lights included. Roofline-only packages start at $899. A one-story roofline usually lands between $899 and $1,400, a two-story between $1,200 and $1,900, and a roofline with palms and an entry between $1,600 and $2,500. How scheduling works
Quotes come back within a few days of a request. Once you approve, your install goes on the calendar in the order it was booked. The week before Thanksgiving is the most requested window every season, and it is the first to fill. Homeowners who want lights up for Thanksgiving should start the quote process in October. December installs are usually still possible, but the choice of dates narrows quickly after the first week. Takedown is scheduled in January when the display goes up, so you know both dates before the crew ever arrives.

The seasonal package price assumes our commercial-grade materials, because those are what we can warranty, repair, and store. Installing customer-owned lights is quoted separately and case by case, and it depends on the condition of the strands. Retail light sets often fail partway through the season.
Most homes are done in a single visit. A one-story roofline is often a few hours, and a large two-story display with palms and landscape work can take most of a day. You do not need to be home, though someone should be available by phone in case a question comes up.
No. Bulbs attach with clips designed for shingle, tile, or gutter lips, and nothing is nailed, screwed, or stapled into the roof or fascia. On tile we use clips made for tile rather than forcing shingle hardware to work.
Every display comes with a photocell timer that switches on at dusk and off on a set schedule, so you are not plugging anything in each evening. We set the schedule at install and can change it any time during the season.
Many Volusia County communities have written guidelines about when lights can go up and come down, and sometimes about color. Approval is up to the homeowner, but if you send us the guidelines we design inside them, and we schedule takedown to meet the deadline.
